We are slow in getting this up this month...We apologize. This month at enrichment we had a potluck of food storage recipes. That is what recipes we want on here. What kinds of things can you make using only your food storage???
1 large bottle peaches, pears, & applesauce (juice & all) -pureed in blender (4cups)
In a large bowl combine: 4 c. flour 2 c. sugar 4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 4 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1 c. canola oil (applesauce can be substituted for any amount of oil
Add fruit & mix well. Pour into a 9x13 prepared pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over the batter. Then add chocolate chips and nuts(optional) on top as well. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
3 cups navy beans-dried 9 cups water 1 medium onion 1 cup ketchup 3 Tblsp molasses 1 cup brown sugar salt to taste
Cook beans & onions in water until tender. When tender most of liquid will be gone. Add remaining ingredients and let simmer for about 20 minutes or until sauce has thickened and is juicy.
Can use honey instead of molasses if don’t like molasses taste.
